Pokémon 30th Celebration Booster Box

Pokémon 30th Celebration Booster Box

Celebrate 30 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game with Pokémon 30th Celebration, known in Japanese as 30th セレブレーション. This special expansion brings together favorites from three decades, led by Mewtwo ex and Mew ex, along with Umbreon ex, Salamence ex, and Greninja ex.

The box contains 20 booster packs with 6 cards each, for a total of 120 cards. Each pack contains one special Pikachu card and one Basic Energy card, included among the six cards.

A Sparkling Anniversary

30th Celebration marks the fact that the Pokémon Trading Card Game was first launched in Japan in October 1996, with what is internationally known as the Base Set.

All cards in the expansion are holographic, including the Basic Energy cards. Almost all also feature Pokémon's 30th anniversary logo.

The set and its related products feature a consistent day and night theme, with many cards featuring artwork that mirrors each other in daylight and darkness.

30 Different Pikachu Cards

The expansion includes its own numbered sub-series of 30 Pikachu rare cards. These feature a unique holographic pattern and the anniversary logo behind the card text.

Each booster pack contains one Pikachu rare card, but specific variants or all 30 designs are not guaranteed in a single box.

Futuristic Rare and RGB Rare

30th Celebration introduces Futuristic Rare, marked FUR in Asian releases. The cards combine bold colors and lighting with graphic elements of energy and Poké Balls in 3D.

These cards are illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, who is also behind the expansion's main visual motif and the Basic Energy cards in the same style.

YOSHIROTTEN has also illustrated the new RGB rare cards. These secret cards feature an intense color palette of red, green, and blue, with references to the original Pokémon games.

Classic Collection

The set also contains the Classic Collection, a collection of 30 newly released cards from earlier Pokémon expansions, from the Base Set to more recent times.

All cards in this sub-series feature a sparkling gold border, giving classic artwork its own anniversary look.

Worldwide Release

30th Celebration was first teased at Pokémon Day 2026 and launched simultaneously worldwide on September 16, 2026, under the Mega Evolution and MEGA series.

This was the first expansion with a simultaneous global launch, also in Simplified Chinese, which at the time was still catching up with the Scarlet & Violet releases.

The international expansion combines cards from the Japanese 30th Celebration and the product 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon.
