Rediscover the original favorites with Pokémon 151, in Japanese 強化拡張パック ポケモンカード151. This expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series celebrates the first 151 Pokémon, from Bulbasaur to Mew.

Unlike most sets, the Pokémon cards here are sorted by National Pokédex number, rather than being grouped by type. This factory-sealed booster box contains the Japanese edition.

The First 151 Pokémon

The set focuses exclusively on Pokémon from Generation I and combines familiar figures with Pokémon ex and special illustrations.

The expansion also marks a historic return of Kadabra. This is the first set with a new Kadabra card since Skyridge in 2003, a full 20 years earlier.

Japanese Packs and Holographic Patterns

Each Japanese booster pack contains 7 cards, of which 2 are guaranteed to be holographic.

Common, Uncommon, and Rare cards are also available in Mirror Holofoil variants with a Poké Ball pattern, or the rarer Master Ball pattern.

There is also a rare chance for packs with two complete evolution lines from Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, where the cards are secret illustration variants. Such special packs are not guaranteed.

The International Pokémon 151 Expansion

The international Scarlet & Violet—151 expansion was released on September 22, 2023 as the first special expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series. It consists of 210 different cards, including:

• 12 Pokémon ex.
• 16 Illustration Rare cards.
• 7 Special Illustration Rare Pokémon and Supporter cards.
• 16 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Supporter cards with full-art illustrations and texture.
• 3 Hyper Rare cards with a gold-colored, textured finish.

International booster packs may also contain Basic Energy cards with Cosmos Holofoil. All cards with the rarity of Rare or lower are also available as Reverse Holofoil in the English edition and languages that follow the same set structure.

A rare international pack may contain one complete evolution line from Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle as secret cards. These replace the pack's two Reverse Holo cards and Rare card, and are often referred to by fans as demigod packs.

Release and Regional Differences

Pokémon Card 151 was released in Japan on June 16, 2023, followed by releases in Taiwan and Hong Kong on June 30, 2023. The releases in Indonesia, Thailand, and South Korea came on July 28, 2023.

The Korean and Traditional Chinese packs contain, like the Japanese ones, 7 cards with 2 guaranteed holographic cards, and have Mirror Holofoil variants with Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns.

The Thai and Indonesian packs contain 5 cards, with no guarantee of holographic cards and no Mirror Holofoil variants.
