Pokémon Ruler of the Black Flame Booster Box SV3

Pokémon Ruler of the Black Flame Booster Box SV3

Discover Pokémon Ruler of the Black Flame, known in Japanese as 黒炎の支配者, the third Japanese main expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series. The set introduces Tera Pokémon ex with types other than their usual ones, opening up new combinations and strategies.

This factory-sealed booster box contains 30 booster packs with 5 cards each, totaling 150 Japanese Pokémon cards.

Tera Pokémon ex with altered types

Ruler of the Black Flame and the international expansion Obsidian Flames are the first sets featuring Tera Pokémon ex that have a different card type than their usual type.

These Pokémon still use energy types associated with their original type when attacking. Weakness and resistance, however, follow the new card type, which creates new tactical possibilities.

Ruler of the Black Flame and Obsidian Flames

The international expansion Obsidian Flames combines cards from the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame, ex Special Set, and ex Start Decks.

It also contains two Japanese promo cards, remaining cards from Triplet Beat, Snow Hazard, and Clay Burst that were not included in Paldea Evolved, as well as two newly released cards from Scarlet & Violet.

Obsidian Flames contains:

• 15 Pokémon ex and 6 Tera Pokémon ex.
• 12 Illustration Rare Pokémon.
• 6 Special Illustration Rare Pokémon and Supporter cards.
• 12 Ultra Rare Pokémon ex and Supporter cards with full-art illustrations and texture.
• 3 Hyper Rare cards with a gold-colored, textured finish.

In the English edition and languages that follow the same set structure, all cards with the rarity of Rare or lower are also available as Reverse Holofoil.

These figures apply to the entire international Obsidian Flames expansion. They describe neither the contents of a single box nor the card distribution in Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame.
