Pokémon VSTAR Universe Booster Box S12a

Pokémon VSTAR Universe Booster Box S12a

End the Sword & Shield journey with Pokémon VSTAR Universe, known in Japanese as ハイクラスパック VSTARユニバース. This High Class set is the final Japanese sub-expansion in the Sword & Shield series.

This factory-sealed booster box contains 10 booster packs with 10 cards each, totaling 100 Japanese Pokémon cards.

Sparkling card variants

VSTAR Universe has its own parallel foil set, where all regular cards without a holographic finish in the main set are also available as Reverse Glitter Holofoil. This variant gives the cards a sparkling finish.

In the set, all cards that are neither Secret Rare, Pokémon V, nor Radiant Pokémon have no rarity symbols.

VSTAR Universe and Crown Zenith

The international special expansion Crown Zenith is based on the Japanese VSTAR Universe, along with cards from the VSTAR Special Set and cards from Paradigm Trigger and Incandescent Arcana that were not included in Silver Tempest.

Crown Zenith was released January 20, 2023 as the final special expansion in the international Sword & Shield series.

As with other special expansions, including Pokémon GO and Celebrations, the Crown Zenith booster packs were distributed through exclusive products rather than as regular, separate booster packs.

The product on this page is the Japanese VSTAR Universe box, not the international Crown Zenith edition.

Energy cards and international foil variants

The energy cards in Crown Zenith use the design from Brilliant Stars. They are available as Reverse Holo variants without a set number, with a copyright date of 2022, and as textured holographic variants with a set number, with a copyright date of 2023.

In the English edition and languages that follow the same set structure, all cards with the rarity of Holofoil Rare and below are also available as Reverse Holofoil.

This information about energy cards and international foil variants applies to Crown Zenith.

Release

VSTAR Universe was released in Japan on December 2, 2022 and marked the end of the Japanese sub-expansions in the Sword & Shield era. The international expansion Crown Zenith followed on January 20, 2023.
